ABS FAT approval

Oversluizen Thermal Engineering has been rewarded with the acknowledgment of designing, engineering and manufacturing off-shore radiators approved by the American Bureau of Schipping (ABS).

As one of the few radiator manufactures worldwide, Oversluizen can manufacture by the harsh specifications which are required by the off-shore industry. The road to approval for this ABS approved FAT has given Oversluizen new prospects for future designs.

New CNC folding machine

End of September 2010 we expect our new CNC press brake to be operational. This 70 Ton brake features a CNC crowning, and thus we can process sheet material up to 5 mm. over a width of 2 meters.

In late September, we expect our new flanging machine to be operational. This machine will be capable of creating a flange in steel and aluminum tubing to this special DIN-rill norm

Oversluizen customers event June 10, 2010

In collaboration with Alfa Laval, Oversluizen organized an event with workshops, product information and the introduction of Alfa Laval’s new developed self-cleaning oil filters.
The invent was a big success, with a very Dutch haring party as a closure of a informative day. Following the invent, the national association of importers of combustion engines (VIV) started the quarterly meeting.

New mobile welders

On March 31st, Oversluizen purchased 2 new Kemppie Mastertig mobile welders. These have an adjustable arc as a special characteristic, which is important when welding aluminum coolers in which a controlled burn is of the essence.

Pusher machine

As of March 30th, our new pusher machine has been deployed. After period of development of over 2 years, the time has finally come and the machine finally meets our expectations.

Varnish machine

In 2009, Oversluizen switched to a system of in-house mixing of varnish. To this end, a pigment computer and a paint-mixing machine were purchased. This allows for the delivery of products with either 1- or 2- component varnish in the correct RAL color. Additional benefits are: no waste and the option of creating the right amounts of any color in a fast manner.

PKM 2009

In collaboration with PKM, the organization has been reviewed, procedures have been adapted and described, and we have completed the finishing touches, to allow for deployment of a lean organization in 2010, which is convenient, since the economical prospects aren’t too positive.

ERP software

In collaboration with the firm Their Software, Oversluizen developed a customized ERP software package, focused at increasing production and preventing possible problems. All facets, from application to billing, from procurement to warehouse management, have all been integrated in this system.

Partnership Alfa Laval

Starting September 1st 2005, Oversluizen T.E. has become partner of Alfa Laval. Oversluizen will be mainly active within the market segments ‘marine’ and ‘combustion engines’.

Project in collaboration with TH-Rijswijk & Albeda College.

Starting September 12th Oversluizen has entered into an internship project with a number of mechanical engineering students of the TH-Rijswijk and the Albeda College. These trials will tell us the exact course of the airflow through the radiator and also where improvements have to be implemented. Because it has to be well organized theoretically, we have agreed on an internship project with the TH Rijswijk for 4 students, in which the first results will be available in December 2005.

Constructing with additional dimension

With the purchase of new 3D drawing software, the drawing process has gained an additional dimension. The new software allows for more effective and efficient construction, and, as a result of the link with the CAM system, these can be produced more effectively and efficiently.

Festive opening of new premises

On November 12th and 13th, after months of remodeling, the new premises at the Mandenmakerstraat in Ridderkerk was festively opened amid great interest.
